The Mendocino State Hospital (MSH) Project
The MSH Project seeks to document and archive images, files, and other media associated with the former Mendocino State Hospital located in Ukiah, California, and operated from 1892 to 1972. The purpose of the Project is to give people a better understanding of this central institution that anchored the eastern part of the Yokayo Valley for decades, while giving a voice to the thousands of people who were incarcerated there or who were employed there.
